While culinary schools remain popular in 2026, the landscape of culinary education has changed now with the introduction of online learning.

In 2025, research valued the cooking class market at $220 billion USD, with projections for it to rise to $450 billion USD by 2032. Though online classes are convenient, I still prefer in-person classes because I find the interaction much more enjoyable. In-person sessions are a great activity to enjoy with friends or as a corporate team-building experience.


Why Culinary Experiences Are Still Booming in 2026

Culinary tourism and cooking classes continue to grow as consumers seek hands-on, immersive experiences.

Cooking classes are a trendy activity, considered "the in thing" for those wanting to stay up to date with modern culinary culture.


Cooking and wine experiences enjoyed by both men and women as a way to spend quality time together, allowing participants to travel to different locations while experiencing international cuisine and cooking techniques.
